You will often receive your NIE number within 1.5 weeks, depending on which services you choose and which parts we arrange for you.

Once we have received all the required information/documents from you, it will take an average of 1 to 3 weeks for you to receive your NIE number. This depends in part on the processing time at the Brigada Extranjeria.
If you choose Comfort, you outsource the entire process to us. You don't have to be at the appointment yourself (and therefore not in Spain either). If you choose Explore or Buddy, you must be in Spain for the appointment.
The physical appointment at the Brigada Extranjeria. There are often long queues here and you have to deal with bureaucracy. With our help, you don't have to wait long and you know exactly where you stand.

Only applicable at Comfort. A document showing that you have authorized us to apply for a NIE number for you. This must be signed by a notary (or official of a town hall in the Netherlands).
Only applicable at Comfort. We provide you with the pre-completed Spanish-language power of attorney including translation. You need to legalize it through a notary or town hall of your choice. You can also choose an online notary through notarity, which we have a partnership with. See our partners here.
Applicable only in the case of Comfort. This is necessary to prove in Spain that the power of attorney is really in your name. Dutch people arrange this through a court of their choice. You do not have to make an appointment for this. Not in the Netherlands? Then go to a notary of your choice, for example an online notary via notarity. You will receive a scan of the document with your NIE number and a 'CSV' code. By entering this code on the official website of the Spanish police, you will download the original document with your NIE number on it. Thus, this operation automatically authenticates the authenticity of the document.
